At Deputy, we're transforming how shift workers and managers do their jobs. Our platform powers scheduling, communication, and team management for retail, hospitality, healthcare, and beyond. We need a Senior Technical Writer who can translate complexity into clarity and make every interaction count.

What You'll Do

You'll be the voice that helps our users succeed. Every day, you'll craft documentation, guides, and in-product content that empowers hourly workers and managers to get shifts done efficiently. You'll own content across our entire product suite, from Shift Pulse scheduling tools to team communication features, turning complex functionality into human language that actually helps.

Your words won't disappear into a void. You'll sit at the intersection of product, customer success, and community, directly reducing support tickets while improving user confidence and satisfaction. You'll work closely with product teams to shape how features are explained and experienced.

What We're Looking For

You're a writer who cares about clarity above all else. You have proven experience in technical documentation, ideally for SaaS products serving diverse user bases. You understand that the best documentation anticipates questions before users ask them.

You're collaborative and curious. You ask the right questions to understand both the feature and the user, and you're comfortable pushing back when something isn't working. You can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of quality.

You're organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills. You can own projects end-to-end and thrive in a structured workflow.

Experience writing for non-technical audiences is a strong plus. If you've documented products used by frontline workers or service industry professionals, even better.
