Senior Backend Engineer - TypeScript & Postgres

The Role

You'll take full ownership of backend features built in TypeScript, from initial scoping through shipping to production. This means designing solutions, writing code, and making sure they perform at real volume. You'll work on Postgres infrastructure, constantly optimizing data models and query performance as our platform grows. Your code reviews will shape engineering standards across the team, and you'll proactively identify reliability issues before they hit users.

Reporting to Amanda Lee, you'll collaborate closely with the wider engineering leadership to solve complex problems and influence product direction.

What We're Looking For

You've already shipped TypeScript and Postgres in production at scale. You understand the difference between code that works and code that works reliably under load. You care about clarity in technical communication, can give thoughtful code reviews, and take pride in raising quality standards.

You're self-directed, comfortable working remotely, and genuinely interested in building hiring software that teams actually want to use.
