Product Designer

Join Deputy and design for the people who keep the world running.

We're building essential tools for shift workers and their managers, and we need a Product Designer who gets it. You'll own the full design journey for core features, working with real scheduling challenges faced by frontline teams every single day. This isn't about making things look pretty. It's about making work simpler and fairer.

What you'll actually do

• Lead end-to-end design for key product areas, from exploring early concepts through to shipping features that people rely on

• Dig into user research and real-world problems, then translate them into clear, practical interface solutions that feel natural

• Partner closely with engineers throughout development, not just handing off designs and hoping for the best

• Build and maintain our design system, keeping the product coherent as we scale

• Conduct usability testing and turn what you learn into better decisions

Who you are

You've designed products that real people use regularly. You understand that good design means understanding workflows deeply, not just making assumptions. You're comfortable jumping between strategic thinking (what problem are we solving?) and detailed execution (is this button the right size?). You collaborate genuinely with engineers because you know that's where good design actually comes to life.

You probably have a portfolio showing work you've shipped, not just concepts. You're curious about how scheduling and shift work actually happens, and you're ready to learn fast if you don't know yet. You care about accessibility and inclusive design. You can facilitate a usability session and actually listen to what users tell you.
